The Cherokee At Large
Voters League welcomed
Family, and Friends for a
Traditional Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner &
Special Presentation on Sports Medicine by Wade
McAlister, MD,
Saturday, November 20, 2010
at
the
Carriage House, Clayton Library Center for

The roast turkey and
all the potluck side dishes were most delicious.
The program by Dr. McAlister was quite
informative and very well received. We all
enjoyed visiting our extended family and friends
on a gorgeous autumn day in Houston, Texas.
Look forward to our next quarterly meeting early
in 2011!
We

organization during these past two years and
look forward to an exciting term with our new

goes to Marjorie Lowe, who has been such an
active force in developing and sustaining the

off the Board for the first time. Our extended
best wishes go also to a founding member,
Deborah Scott, who has provided so much guidance
and talent as well. We welcome continued
participation by these honorary past Board
Members.

by Cherokee Nation Citizen and
Genealogist Marjorie Lowe.

Cherokee research in Houston, by

Attendees also enjoyed a
newly released promotional video
on the Cherokee Heritage Center,
located near Tahlequah, OK. It
highlighted the many exciting
features of the Center. Learn

Much appreciation goes
also to everyone who brought
such great potluck food
items. Our Cherokees really
